1. Key Benefits for Vehicle Window Tinting
Drastic Heat Reduction: High-quality tint (especially ceramic) can block up to 60-70% of total solar energy, keeping the car cabin significantly cooler and reducing the strain on your AC system.
- 99% UV Ray Protection: Protects skin from sun damage and prevents interior leather, vinyl, and plastic from fading, cracking, or warping.
- Enhanced Privacy and Security: Obscures the view of valuables inside the car, acting as a deterrent to theft.
- Safety Against Glass Shattering: The adhesive film holds broken glass together upon impact, reducing injury risk during accidents or attempted break-ins.
- Glare Reduction: Minimizes harsh sunlight during the day and blinding headlight glare at night, improving visibility and safety.
- Improved Aesthetics: Gives vehicles a sleek, modern, and customized appearance.
2. Key Benefits for Home & Commercial Window Tinting
Lower Energy Costs: By blocking solar heat gain in the summer, tinted windows reduce the workload on HVAC systems, leading to substantial savings on electricity bills.
- Protection of Furnishings: Blocks 99% of UV rays, preventing carpets, artwork, and furniture from fading.
- Improved Comfort & Glare Control: Reduces annoying glare on TVs and computer screens without needing to close blinds, allowing natural light to enter.
- Enhanced Privacy: Provides one-way visibility (daytime privacy), allowing you to see out while preventing others from looking in.
- Safety and Security: Increases glass strength, making it harder for intruders to break in and preventing shattering during storms.
Why Garage43 Only Installs Ceramic Tint
We install ceramic film exclusively — we don't offer carbon, metalized, or dyed tint. Those films are the industry standard at most shops because they're cheaper to stock and install, but they fall short of ceramic on heat rejection, clarity, and how long they actually last. Ceramic costs more upfront, and it's the only film we're willing to put the Garage43 name on.
- Superior heat rejection: Ceramic blocks significantly more infrared heat than carbon or dyed film, keeping your cabin noticeably cooler through Bay Area summers.
- Zero signal interference: Fully non-metallic and non-conductive, so it won't interfere with GPS, Bluetooth, cell signal, or toll transponders — important for EVs and newer vehicles with sensors built into the glass.
- No fading or discoloration: Unlike dyed film, ceramic won't fade, bubble, or turn purple over time.
- True color and clarity: A non-reflective, non-metallic finish that looks cleaner and truer to color than metalized or carbon film.
- Better long-term value: A higher upfront cost that outlasts cheaper films by years, backed by a lifetime warranty — so you're not paying to redo it down the road.
